Update from the States

This Tuesday I will be crossing the country and the blue Pacific as a part of my journey to Vietnam. I'll arrive in Saigon Wednesday night and stay in Vietnam until mid-August. In between now and then, I hope to find time to update my blog with links to my print, online, and broadcast work.

I'm absolutely excited for my trip. I feel that it will shape a lot of my career and personal path. I hope it will shape and contribute to my writing, as well, as everything feels full circle. It seems like I was just in eighth grade yesterday and that my feature article on my Vietnamese heritage and new year customs was just printed. And now, I'm actually going to the motherland. The roots of all being. Almost. I feel that I'll not only find my identity as a Vietnamese or Vietnamese-American, but I'll also cement my American personality -- in the best sense. It will be wonderful.

To keep up with my travels, please click on the "Commonalities: All That Bind Us" link to the right. That blog will be witness to the many adventures (and few misadventures?), epiphanies, culinary arts, and cultural immersions of my travels throughout Vietnam this summer. Thank you for reading!

Welcome

As a student journalist with over six years of writing and publishing experiences, it's time that I started a Web site to list my works, provide my resume, and highlight my experiences.

Look to this blog for updates and more information on my work as a student journalist and freelance writer.
